Motor Kit
Motor kits from Alva Industries combine the SlimTorq™ frameless rotor and stator into an adaptable package for engineers who want to integrate, test, or evaluate high-performance torque motors without committing to a complete test assembly in early project stages. The motor kits include the slotless, cogging-free motor together with bearings, RLS AksIM-2™ encoders and aluminium housings for mounting.
The core of every kit is Alva’s FiberPrinting™ technology which allows us to produce ironless, slotless windings with high copper fill factor and non-skewed coils. The result is a higher torque density, zero cogging and ultra-precise motion control. With this combination, traditional slotless designs are outperformed.

SlimTorq Motor Kits
Alvas SlimTorq™ motor kits are available in various sizes. The stator sizes are available as standard sizes from 25 - 160 mm OD. Different sizes are available upon request for designing a custom motor. Each size can be ordered in Lite version for weight-sensitive applications or Max version for maximum torque density. There are also sensor options available (NTC and Hall).
Our motors have a large through-hole design and a very lightweight architecture with zero cogging. The SlimTorq™ kits give engineers a flexible first-look opportunity to test our motors.

Custom Motor Kits
Alva’s FiberPrinting™ process makes it possible to design custom kits. We can adjust winding turns, change magnet configurations, redesign motor lengths and stator/rotor diameters. The motor can be optimized to perform well for different applications whether the focus lies on torque density, weight or efficiency. This flexibility enables us to create custom motor kits for testing for advanced robotics, medical devices, aerospace or defense projects where standard motors reach their limits.

Motor Kit Applications
Alva’s motor kits can be used to test for a wide range of applications. The frameless motors within offer a compact shape and high power density which makes them very suitable for mobile applications which need efficient systems. Also with the high pole count and high peak torques they are very suitable for precision systems.

Each SlimTorq™ motor kit includes aframeless motor (stator + rotor), bearings, and an RLS AksIM-2™ BiSS-C encoderintegrated into a precision aluminum housing for easy setup and mounting.
Standard evaluation kits are typically available within 6–8 weeks. For custom configurations, lead times may extend to 16–20 weeks depending on specification and volume.
SlimTorq™ motors operate in temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C, with maximum stator temperature rated at 140 °C and rotor at 85 °C.
Evaluation kits are designed for lab and controlled industrial environments, allowing engineers to validate motor performance, thermal behaviour, and encoder feedback.
Yes. The kits are delivered with mechanical interface adapters and pre-installed cables, making them easy to integrate into a test-bench.
