Feel the difference: Alva brings slotless vs. slotted motor demo to WoTS 2026
Trondheim, Norway - September 16, 2026 - Alva Industries (ALVA), a manufacturer of frameless motors and owner and creator of FiberPrinting™ technology, will bring its interactive Slotless vs. Slotted Motor Technology Demo to WoTS 2026 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Visitors can experience the demo at the Zilvertron and Sentech booth, stand 8E026, where a dedicated ALVA section will also feature selected SlimTorq™ and GearTorq™ motors.

The hands-on demo allows visitors to directly interact with both a conventional slotted motor and an ALVA slotless motor. By rotating the motors by hand and exploring the different demo modes, visitors can experience cogging compared with smooth, cogging-free motion, as well as strong holding torque and precise, responsive control. Watch or read more about how the demo works.
Alongside the demo, ALVA will showcase motors from its SlimTorq™ and GearTorq™ product families. SlimTorq™ is ALVA's thin, lightweight frameless slotless motor series, while GearTorq™ has been developed specifically for geared applications and actuator systems. Both are based on ALVA's FiberPrinting™ technology.
"We are excited to be exhibiting our technologies for the first time in the Netherlands at WoTS. ALVA is in the middle of an exciting scaling up period, and discovering daily a high number of new verticals and applications that seem to be aligned with our growth ambitions. ALVA allows engineers to have maximum design flexibility with little to no compromises. We are certainly confident that lots of visitors and exhibitors at WoTS will be impressed by what we can do, and we are curious to learn about their demands and challenges.", said Nicolas Giraudo, Chief Commercial Officer of Alva Industries.
At WoTS, ALVA's motor technology will be presented as part of the wider range of motion and sensing technologies showcased by Zilvertron and Sentech. Visitors can meet the teams at the booth to discuss SlimTorq™ and GearTorq™ and their integration into demanding applications.
"For more than thirty years, we have helped OEMs solve precision motion challenges, and we select our partners with care. What convinced us about ALVA is the design freedom their FiberPrinting™ technology offers: slotless frameless motors without cogging, in shapes and sizes adapted to the application instead of the other way around. Combined with the expertise within the Techwell Group in motion, control, sensing and application engineering, ALVA's technology enables us to deliver fully integrated motion solutions that help OEMs push the limits of performance. That is exactly the kind of smart motion solution our customers in semicon, medtech and high-precision machinery are looking for." said René Jansen, Managing Director of Zilvertron.
Visitors can experience the Alva demo and see SlimTorq™ and GearTorq™ motors at the Zilvertron and Sentech booth, stand 8E026, at WoTS 2026 in Utrecht.
